When it comes to making delicious pancakes, we keep it simple. The pure Vermont maple syrup is the star of the show.

Get Ready!
First things first, grab your mixing bowl and ingredients. Put on your apron and blast some tunes. Our suggestion, Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root (hoping you get the Matilda reference). And of course, make sure you have pure Vermont maple syrup ready to go.
Recipe
This recipe comes from the very worn pages of my mother's Betty Crocker cookbook. The short ingredient list allows for a quick cook time so you can get to smothering it with maple syrup sooner.
Ingredients
1 egg
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup milk
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 tablespoon sugar
3 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
Directions
Beat egg with hand beater until fluffy. Beat in remaining ingredients until smooth. For thinner pancakes add additional 1/4 cup milk. Grease your pan with butter or oil.
Pour about 3 tablespoons batter from tip of large spoon onto hot pan. Cook pancakes until puffed and dry around edges. Flip and cook other sides until golden brown.
Pour two cups of maple syrup into a glass serving pitcher (a coffee cup works too) and warm up for 30-60 seconds in the microwave. Serve the pancakes and drizzle warm Pure Vermont Maple Syrup on top. Enjoy!
